Moving improves learning, any teacher knows that, so obtaining flexible seating options, computer mice, and headphones will be an invaluable classroom... especially if those classes are 80, long minutes. My students are not used to such long classes and often lose focus. With flexible seating and headphones, they will get their ”fidgets” out appropriately, without disturbing others. When students are engaged in their learning, learning is more meaningful. When students’ Individual learning styles are met, wonderful things can happen! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. We are lucky enough to be a 1-to-1 technology school, meaning that we have one Chromebook for each student (ideally, then they are working). However since these Chromebooks are getting on in years, the built-in touchpads that control the cursor are peeling or not working. The computer mice will help students access all that the computers can do, and the headphones will allow them to do it independently and at their own pace. Lastly, we are setting up a new PBIS system with a Superhero theme! Help me decorate my classroom to help my students realize just how super they are!
