Even with COVID-19, we are trying to find the positives within this upcoming new year. We currently just had our track renovated and are super excited about the opportunities it will bring to our girls track team. With the uncertainty of sports our girls are excited that they are capable of having a season especially after last years getting cut. We have taken all proper precautions, like daily screenings, extra cleaning supplies, and other necessary measures to make sure that our girls track team is able to participate at a high level safely. All we have left to purchase is equipment that helps with them in training, hydration, and recovery. The majority of the equipment requests helps with recovery of the runners muscles to be better able to perform at a higher level (ex. NormaTec and Hydrocullator). Other materials requested, like the cuff weights allows the runners to perform small exercises to strengthen their muscles to help them run faster especially in sprinting events.
