These Buckaroos are visual learners and need to "see" exactly what I am modeling and teaching in order to be successful. Unfortunately, without the proper technology in the classroom, I am unable to teach the most effective way for them. Not every student can sit up front and observe the methods and strategies of a lesson. My classroom is without a document camera. If our classroom had a document camera, the students would ALL have a front row seat to see what I am modeling and teaching them. The best part is, this document camera is not just for worksheets. It is like a live, interactive camera. I can show science experiments, math manipulatives, etc. in color in real time, as I teach.
