The items in this project will make a huge impact on the lives of my students. We have started a food pantry to help families that have trouble providing adequate meals for students when they are away from school. We could never imagine the impact that this has made for many students. I have had the privilege of delivering food to families and the smiles are priceless. It's at that moment, that they know there are people out here that care, people out here that understand that we all have fallen on hard at some point, and together we will help one another make it during these hard times. Helping the students we serve with meals help us ensure they are prepared for teaching and learning. It's hard to focus when you have to wonder if there will be dinner tonight, and we just want to help bridge the gap for those that are in need.
