I teach one math class and two science classes during the day. We use calculators on a daily basis. However, not all of the students have a calculator of their own. It breaks my heart that not all of students have access to basic school supplies and it makes it hard for them to learn as quickly as those around them with the appropriate tools. These calculators would help alleviate that stress they feel and help them grow as learners at the same rate as those who can afford a calculator. It would also allow for all students to have access to a calculator while in class.
