With Scholastic News, students will have the opportunity to keep up with current events, develop opinions about certain topics, and critically think about the content. Real-life knowledge and skills such as financial literacy need to be emphasized more in the classroom so that students are equipped to make informed and responsible decisions in their own lives. Interacting with the texts of Scholastic News will be an effective way to build their college and career readiness as they learn about the world they live in.

About my class
