Young children learn through play and manipulating their environment - and my students love to play! These PreK students need building materials to continue their creativity, foster their love of discovery, as well as learn to work together to solve problems. Young children are natural STEM investigators - they are eager to invent, explore, and build. With new building materials the sky is the limit to discovery! Currently my students have few materials for building. The Straws and Connectors will allow children to build towers and forms in ways they have never experienced. The IO Blocks with have children thinking creatively to challenge concepts of balance and stability. The Angles Manipulatives will give students the opportunity to create unique designs. All of these materials will have children working together to problem solve as well as using their fine motor skills.
