My students come from all backgrounds. Many are far below a basic skill level in mathematics. Many of the students are from low socioeconomic families in which parents struggle to help children attain a better education than they had. The students attend a school filled with highly motivated teachers who struggle with a limited budget to meet the needs of all students. California is facing budget cuts daily which impact classrooms directly. These students need all the help they can receive.
