Technology is the present and the future. The same can be said about my students. They are my present, but they are also the future. They’re the scientists, authors, mathematicians, doctors, teachers, and leaders of the future. They need to not only be exposed to traditional academics, but they also need to understand the importance of technology, how it benefits them, digital safety, as well as how to use technology as a tool. With a classroom iPad, they will be able to explore different apps that will supplement their reading, writing and math skills. I’ve had great success with teaching with the use of technology. Unfortunately, my school doesn’t have classroom technology available, therefore it’s very hit and miss on the amount of exposure my students have to these amazing resources.
