Not only will these Oxford Picture Dictionaries and the corresponding workbook give my hard working and eager students the meaning of certain words, they will give visuals to ensure understanding. My students will be able to apply their newly acquired vocabulary across the different subject areas to ensure academic success not only in English as a Second Language class. Having a word to word translation is simply not enough when teaching students that are all at different levels not only in their English language proficiency, but also in their home language. These dictionaries will be utilized and will be worth every penny used to purchase them.
