I want to get some great books into the hands of all my elementary students. I am hoping if this is funded that every student will be able to choose two books to take home for the summer. I want kids to get lost in a great book. Reading is a lifelong skill that I want to instill in every student. There are so many great books out there. I want students to reach for a book to read instead of a video game. Summer is a fun time, but that summer slide is big for many students. I want to make sure my students have a couple of books at home to read during the summer, too.
