Can you imagine playing with jump ropes that are worn out to the point where you have to fix them every couple of seconds or minutes? Or wanting to play soccer on a big soccer field with no soccer ball in sight? This is currently happening with my students. There are only so many times that they will want to play different versions of tag. The resources that I am requesting are designed with the safety of students in mind, while allowing them an opportunity to choose which activities are of interest to them. They also encourage cooperative play! Despite its heavy utility, these items will last for a while. The soccer balls will be good for students who are on the soccer team who would like an opportunity to have extra practice before game day. The baseball and bat can be used for a friendly game of baseball. It helps that we are requesting baseball items from our home team the Washington Nationals. There are also frisbees and footballs that will come in handy as well. As for myself, the megaphone and whistle will come in handy when it's time to time to transition from activities or when transitioning to instruction. The best part is that if any of the sports balls deflate, we will have a pump to bring it back to life. We're approaching the season of spring which means there will be more opportunities for students to play outside. We have loads of space on our field for these resources. Hopefully you will be able to help!
