Using a visual learning rug will help our students with boundaries, personal space, and focus. This rug gives the students an area for learning. It defines the space. We can ask them to "go to the carpet" and they understand we will be doing some learning there. We use the area for literacy, News 2 You, math, and GoNoodle. I want my students to have fun while learning. Using the rug and the step stool will help my height challenged students interact with the smartboard during lessons. Fun math activities are used on the smartboard daily so it's important all students get a chance to interact with it.
