I am setting up a Sensory Room for my students to use when they are unable to get the sensory stimulation that they need to be successful in the classroom. When one of my students begins to cry and use repetitive motions due to their being overwhelmed during the day I will be able to take them over to the sensory room and by using water, sand, music, sensory beads and pressure vests my student will be able to interact with their environment and feel safe within the school environment. This special place will be a room for everyone's needs! When the students need sensory time, we will go to the adjoining room to immerse themselves in the sensory area.

About my class
