Middle school band students are still developing many skills on their instruments. Having tuners in the classroom will help students develop a better tone on their instruments and a better sound as a whole group. Tuners will allow students to visually see if their pitch is too high or too low. I want my students to experience many styles and genres of music. The many percussion instruments on the list will allow for more diverse choices of music. Our next concert includes marches, Latin music, and ballads that require some unique percussion instruments. My students will also be extremely excited to see these new instruments in the classroom​ and use them in our performances.
