I started school nursing August after the pandemic hit. This past year and half has been a whirlwind, but fun along the way. A hospital grade thermometer would help the efficiency of the clinic. In a school setting I am in charge of over 900 students health and not to mention the staff there as well. There are many different types of students that use the clinic, including some students that have different needs and disabilities. Having a hospital grade thermometer not only will help with a quick temperature check, it will be less traumatic for the students. In my experience as a nurse, taking a child's temperature by mouth or under the arm is more traumatic than procedures or shots sometimes. Children do not enjoy it and often have much anxiety over it. The temporal thermometer will be a quick fix for this.
