A Montessori classroom is set up to be a beautiful, homey environment. Children are given the freedom to choose where they would like to work, and what type of work they wish to complete. A great deal of learning takes place with children sitting on the floor, or other various seating throughout the classroom. When working, children like to be comfortable in their space. By donating to this project, you will be giving the students an opportunity to be more focused and engaged in their work, while also making our classroom a more beautiful place. Currently, our classroom has an old couch and chair that are falling apart. The children are quite disappointed with the fact that their treasured seating is becoming unsafe, and is not going to last much longer. With new furniture, our students would have a safe and comfortable place to engage in their learning.
