Students will be given the chance to work with the Osmo Coding Kits at school during math, reading, and STEM times. Many of my students do not have technology at home so the majority of the exposure to technology will take place at school. The ultimate goal of this project is to level the playing field across the economic gap by giving my students the same experience students of other economic statuses receive regularly. Our society is becoming more reliant on technology than ever before so the importance of learning technology at a young age is crucial. The skills my first grade students will be learning while utilizing these kits will fuel them for many years to come.
