Right now our rug serves our whole class where all the children gather to have large group instruction, music, and movement, shared reading, and small group instruction. We desperately need a new rug with individualized squares so that the children can quickly find their own space without arguing over where to sit. By giving each child their own space to sit, it gives them a sense of belonging and a place that they can call their own. This rug has each letter of the alphabet on the outside so the children can sit in a circle, and it also has colored squares in the middle so they can sit in rows for story time.

About my class
