I am aiming to build a classroom library and text set full of African-American heroes and sheroes from history who have and will continue to inspire future generations. This library will also include chapter books for my advanced readers with strong male and female African American protagonist allowing my students to picture and see characters that look like them in fictional literature. Help build our classroom library with books that contain fictional and non-fictional characters, stories, and plots that they can relate to with illustrations that reflect them which will drive student interest and motivation that cultivates a deeper love of literacy and learning!
