By getting the book boxes I'll be able to have my students keep their text books not in their desks. They will have more room for their personal reading books, library books, and the notebooks we use throughout the day/week. This will help cut down on distractions and have the students feeling less hectic if their desk isn't so crowded. I also have a table top easel which will help me be able to teach more effectively in my guided reading groups. I can use the easel to demonstrate certain skills, and provide a visual reinforcement for what we are focusing on in guided reading that week.
