Water play provides hours of rich and valuable learning experiences. It helps to develop children's creativity and imagination. In Pre-K, students learn through play. They will be able to develop their eye-hand coordination and work on math and science skills. It also enhances social skills and cooperation. They will be so busy at "play" that they will not realize they are learning. Not only will a water table help them scoop, funnel, and pour, it will teach them problem solving skills. Water play builds the foundation and fosters pre-k readiness. What a fun way to work! Learning is all around us! The students' parents volunteer in my classroom. They work with their child in various centers. The water table will provide a great opportunity for parents and their child to work and learn together.
