Schools in our district have invested in computers and the audio/visual programs to help with language acquisition. Headphones are very useful in utilizing these tools. When students use headphones they are able to concentrate on their own personal learning path. Distractions are decreased which helps the students learn to focus on a task. This allows them to make excellent progress in their education. My English language learning students come from all over the world and each has unique needs that need to be met. This personalization is critical. Headphones help utilize the multimedia learning programs that help fill in the education and cultural gaps in each student's education.
