Technology is a prominent aspect of education in which students will learn how to develop scientific thinking, research skills, critical thinking, creativity, technology literacy, and communication. These skills are relatively essential for college-readiness. The laptops will provide college-readiness skills by allowing students to practice typing, reading, researching, logging in, and collaboratively working in a team. Moreover, educational apps will be installed to increase students' reading fluency, sight words, mathematics fluency, and science. These subjects will be enhanced via technology by increasing students' motivation, engagement, different representation, and expression of learning. My students need laptops to reach our goals of expressing different learning schema, providing college-readiness skills and exposing them to 21st Century Skills.
