Drawing fractions on the whiteboard in front of the class takes precious time and is never as clear as it could be if I had the "Double Sided Magnetic Fraction Circles", and the "Soft Foam Magnetic Rainbow Fraction Tiles". I look forward to having students come to the front of the class to use the magnets to solve our daily math problem. I have noticed that the more advanced students always enjoy being chosen to come to the front of the class to demonstrate what they know. While the students who are having difficulties understanding are often more attentif when manipulatives are used to reinforce the notion. Once the concept has been presented in front of the class, being able to create small groups where they can use the, "Fraction & Decimal Tiles" themselves, will make a significant difference in their comprehension.
