I would appreciate your help to begin building my classroom library. I am just starting out as a first year teacher with limited resources to accomplish this goal. Many of my students have difficulty accessing quality books at home. Though they have a brief, weekly visit to our school library, they rely on my classroom library to provide them with quality books. They need this resource to fuel their creativity, feed their appetite for new and interesting stories, and increase their desire to continue learning. Students who read at home show a dramatic increase in learning growth over those who do not. I would like all of my students to have this opportunity.
