This donation is helping three different classes. My anatomy class will dissect the brains, hearts, and eyes as they study the nervous system, circulatory system and special senses. The dissections over the organs will provide a more vivid picture than any book could give them. My biology classes will dissect the frogs and crayfish. Biology students learn classification and comparative anatomy and having the opportunity to see first hand two specimens will be a great opportunity. Using hands on learning helps to engage students and reaches a variety of learning styles. Students who stay engaged and interested in the curriculum will better retain the information they learn.
