Students will learn hands on ways of adding and subtracting in order to enhance the somewhat abstract worksheets and math packets in our curriculum. Using manipulatives to join together or take apart groups of objects will ensure their understanding of foundational math concepts in addition and subtraction. When understanding attributes of shapes, students will be able to hold "geometry" in their hands! This will assist them in understanding the volume and dimension of three dimensional and two dimensional shapes. Students will be able to design their own 3D and 2D shapes by constructing these shapes themselves! Kindergartners will become Young Mathematicians!
