As a brand new teacher, it is important that I provide my students with the tools they need to regulate their bodies and their emotions. In order to provide these students with the classroom they deserve, I need assistance. Items like flexible seating options and Thera-putty will help them regulate their body when needed and return to the classroom learning environment. The more time they spend in the classroom will lead to more academic success. These items will also help my students focus on their work during times when they are distracted. A positive learning environment fosters greater educational experiences. These items will create a positive learning environment for my students by allowing them the choice of seating that works best for them. The items on this list will help them grow academically and personally! My learning space is small and does not have a white board. Therefore, the easel is vital for the small group and individual instruction that takes place. With this easel I will be able to model how to complete tasks and solve problems for my students before expecting them to do the work on their own. The easel will also aide in my creation of anchor charts. These anchor charts will help my students, especially my visual learners, by allowing them to reference strategies and techniques during lessons.
