You never know what you might walk into when you step foot inside my classroom. One day it might be calm and students are drawing quietly, other days it might be loud and paint may cover the tables but you will always find children learning about some sort of art form, technique or artist. One of my favorite things in the world is getting to introduce my students to an art making process they have never experienced before. Printmaking is a complex art form that requires a very specific set of materials that aren't always available to elementary students. With these new art supplies like printing ink, brayers and Styrofoam plates, I'll be able to teach some of my students the beginning stages of this detailed art form. Hopefully these supplies encourage them to want to explore new and exciting art techniques.
