In 1st grade we do a lot of carpet time learning! With such a range of learners in the class, it is an easy way for all students to be engaged and participate in lessons. Additionally, it is a great way to quickly assess students before we move on as a class. It allows me as a teacher to quickly see where each and every student in the class is. These will be very helpful during our ELA/ELD time, especially when we are practicing our phonics and spelling. Additionally, the students love to have hands on activities for math. Through these boards, all students will be able to be engaged on the carpet.
