Help me build our first-grade classroom library. My students love to read and listen to books. Our classroom library is lacking in volume and variety. I would love to provide the opportunity for my students to enjoy a wider variety of books in my classroom during their independent reading time. I will also use the books as an incentive for my students to read when they finish their work correctly and in a timely manner while waiting for other classmates to finish an assignment. Providing access to a rich classroom library promotes greater amounts of reading, increased reading frequency, and more diverse reading experiences among students. This helps them to attain greater levels of reading achievement.
