The first to mention are the raspberry pi's. They are fully operating computers that can collect student data for statistics and probability projects with various sensors to help along the way. Students can learn programming in several languages with them and use them to learn how mathematical algorithms can be coded. They also have access to the most powerful mathematical programming and learning tool with Mathematica. It comes with every raspberry pi and usually costs a school or classroom hundreds of dollars but we will have a lab set up for students to explore advanced modeling and simulations on the software. The Microbits and Arduino's will also help with data collection. They can be mobile allowing the students collect environmental data they can bring back to the classroom. One example is setting up a Microbit to record the temperature and have them code it to convert between Fahrenheit and Celsius. They will be able to check air quality and pollution levels to monitor and statistically analyse. This will give them real world data to use in our lessons.
