iPads are highly engaging, motivating and a valuable learning tool. However, they are expensive and I've had iPads broken when dropped on the floor. Protective cases would allow students the opportunity to use the iPads without worry of them being broken. The iPads will be used to reinforce core curriculum in an independent manner. High-quality headphones are essential to keep the room quiet during iPad time. This allows students to not be distracted by other kids learning and I can simultaneously run reading groups. Headphones that are not made well, tend to break very easily when in kindergartner's hands and are not sustainable.
