Our school currently has a generation 1 iPad. Because antiquated it is no longer producing quality material. Our Students use iMovie to produce the final news broadcast, but every morning they have to delete the previous broadcast due to space. Marion Ginapolis, says, “It is not about the technology; it’s about sharing knowledge and information, communicating efficiently, building learning communities and creating a culture of professionalism in schools." A new iPad will also allow our students the opportunity to share learning experiences from their daily classes. Students will write, record, and produce all content to be shown in the broadcast. Our broadcast team creates more than just news anchors. We are teaching to become better communicators , collaborators, and critical thinkers.
