I work with two different sets of twenty-nine first graders each day in a dual language immersion classroom in Utah. I teach the English portion where students are learning to read and learn in many different ways using new technology. Having technology in the classroom provides them with access to a broader range of literature materials. Having 58 students, I have students on varying reading levels. I would love to have these 3 Amazon Fire 7 tablets to have my students access resources to use when they finish work early and also in small groups. Kids can be using the tablets to work on Lexia or raz kids to help support them in their reading. These tablets will allow me to provide more reading resources to students on their specific levels. I will also have more options to provide Spanish content to my students who are also learning Spanish! Students will also be able to use these tablets to conduct research for their reading and writing done in class.
