Our school has several different learning sites that our second graders can use on our laptops. We have some headphones that we are using now, but we have to share they with five other classrooms. Many of the headphones are broken, and the students get frustrated because they can not hear the computer lessons. If we had a headphone for every student they would be able to have a more individualized learning experience. I have found that my students are more on task when they can block out the sounds of the other students. They are more engaged in the computer programs and they will be able to control their own volume. I have found that when a student has their own headphones that they will move on to the next learning site when they are finished. They do not have to wait for others. or be distracted by their classmate. The student is successful in his individual learning and pace.
