These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. Students can only become better writers, authors, and poets if they have great examples from which to learn. Through independent reading and student-led book clubs, my students grow in their appreciation of literature as readers and writer. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. These novels and books of poetry speak to my students directly, addressing themes and topics relevant to their lives beyond the school. With these new books, my students will be able to expand their choices for their student-led book clubs and independent reading projects. They will also be able to choose books of interest to them. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
