Currently, my students only have access to tablets once a week, if that. When they do have them, they are given the opportunity to work on IEP goals and I have seen progress in their independence, abilities and goals. An awesome thing to witness. iPad tablets with the appropriate applications would allow the students to practice what we are learning in class. They can practice tracing their letters, number and so on. Mastering shapes and colors would occur through play and would the understanding of basic math concepts. Having tablets in our room would be an additional support to their learning.
