Since my students have very individualized requirements, each of the items requested will enable them to receive the help to achieve their educational goals. Each student has specific goals they are working to accomplish every year according to their Individualized Education Program and the tools in my classroom allow them to. The supplies requested will specifically help students who have learning disabilities such as ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Anxiety and Dyscalculia. The white boards will assist in working through math problems and spelling lessons. The wobble cushions help fidgety students focus on school tasks. The stress balls are used in a similar manner and help students who may be having anxiety or other distractions and are often sent to general education classes for them to use in there. The globe and solar system will be used to help the teachers explain some of the stories that are taught in Reading Mastery. The colored overlays are used for students who have Dyslexia as it can help many students so the letters and words do not jump and move as they read.
