The High Scope curriculum indicates the need for "Work Time" to be included within the daily preschool routine. "Work Time" is when our students have time to PLAY. Play is a child's work; it is vital to their learning! One area in our classroom that is available as a choice during "Work Time" is our "House Area" (i.e., Dramatic Play). Preschoolers LOVE to dress up as their favorite community helpers. Being a brand new classroom, we are highly in need of dramatic play items. Community-helper dress-up items will allow our students to learn about important, valued members in our community and the services they provide for us all.
