Chemistry is a challenging topic as it is, but with the added complication of remote learning it becomes even more difficult. There is a lot of math and formula writing in chemistry, which makes using computer screens rather than pen and paper or dry erase board quite tedious. A Microsoft Surface will allow me to share my screen with my students to easily demonstrate step-by-step mathematical problem-solving in chemistry. This will help aid in students' understanding of topics like dimensional analysis, stoichiometry, limiting reactants, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, and many more. This is a necessary tool for my visual learners. This technology will also allow me to record demos and labs for students to help them synthesize the mathematical and physical aspects of the chemistry curriculum.
