The students will use these materials to enhance lessons and strategies taught both whole group and in small group to reinforce concepts that are being taught or reviewed. These materials will allow the students to express their thoughts and ideas in new ways. These materials also provoke conversations that would not happen naturally without the aid of a manipulative. Specifically the dice will allow my students to reach higher number values as well as see numbers represented in a different way, not just numerically. I cannot wait to see the excitement on their faces when they see their new manipulatives!
