I have loved hearing students talk about what their section represents and seeing them proudly point out the pieces they helped create. They are learning to share ideas, compromise, be patient, and work together while also developing their artistic and fine-motor skills. As an art teacher, those are the moments I treasure when students realize that what they create has value and that their ideas can contribute to something bigger than themselves.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue designing and completing the individual sections of our mosaic. Once the individual sections are complete, we will begin the exciting process of bringing everything together into one large collaborative mural. Students will be able to see how the contributions from different classes connect to create one unified work of art.
