Help my students gain access to relevant reading materials that are both diverse and interesting in nature. The selection of books reflect my students individualized interests and will be used to teach and support grade level state standards and core curriculum writing skills. Some books will be chosen as read a aloud. Others will be given directly to students as an additional resource to the content being taught through their standards. Finally, the book shelf is of high value so that students can easily access the books. My students will love to practice the skills they need to be full functioning adults through interesting, culturally diverse books. My desire is to teach writing and social studies through interesting books that directly relate to my students curriculum.
