This project will enable me to help these children understand the many feelings and emotions they are experiencing. With understanding their emotions, they will be better able to express their feelings in appropriate ways. This will also help them to do better academically.Along with this I will be setting goals with the children for their behavior and academics. We will chart their successes and celebrate them. These things will give them a better understanding of themselves and their world which will develop a sense of structure and stability in their lives. Focusing on their social emotional learning will have a direct positive result on their behavior and academics. Starting at this young age is imperative for their future.
