Many students are faithfully attending reading tutoring sessions after school while others do their best to come as often as they can. I am thrilled that they are intrinsically motivated and know the value of reading tutoring: receiving much-needed help, improvement in reading comprehension, and a better success rate on state mandated exams. I want to put my readers on the road! Though self-motivated, I would like to extrinsically reward them with a bus trip they will not forget. Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is an ideal place for high school students to connect to many of the subject areas they are learning about – not to mention they would have so much fun! Providing transportation is the key to this great trip. Some of them have never been out of the county, and this trip would motivate them even further and encourage them to continue on the right path.
