This list of games and toys have been carefully curated to ensure each and every game can be used to enhance a students speech and language skills. They are exciting, colorful, and engaging with innumerable language learning opportunities embedded within them. Although my students are older than many of the intended ages, these games meet them at their developmental level. They are engaging enough to grab their attention and maintain it for prolonged periods of time! They will engage in turn taking with peers and experience healthy competition in a controlled setting where there can practice emotional regulation (during the inevitable loss during Pop the Pig or Pop up Pirate). I want them to learn simple concepts such as "put in" "my turn" as well ad concepts such as colors, numbers, shapes. I want them to be able to answer "what color did you get?" or "who is next?". The possibilities are endless!
