For the past several days, I have been racking my brain trying to think of the right thing to say! Truth is, I can only speak from my heart and not try to flatter you with fancy reasons for choosing the items on this list! I have been teaching for 13 years and this year has been the most difficult! Many of my kindergarten students are very low when it comes to academics! Only 4 out of the almost 20 students can name 15 or more letters! Kindergarten is the foundation of learning and I want to give them a GREAT start! Letter naming, letter sounds, name writing, counting, and writing are crucial for these little learners and I want to make sure they have what they need to succeed! The materials that I am requesting will simply help to create file folder games, beginning sound books to establish that basic function to start reading, and incentives for treasure box to reward them for when they try! As mentioned previously, I have been teaching 13 years and although it can be difficult, I absolutely love what I do! Yes there are days that I want to cry but there also days that I smile because that light bulb has come on!
