My students love learning about History; however, we don't always have time to dig deeply into the different topics. We have found that a great way to talk about and discuss these topics is through different novels. Integrating history into our Language Arts time through novels helps us to dig deeper and have thoughtful conversations about the past. It helps us to enlighten students about the different events of the world that still impact us today. By giving them this learning opportunity they become better citizens who strive to continue to help make changes in our communities.

About my class
